Director of JSC “Georgian Energy Development Fund“ Mr. Jaba Khmaladze attended the Green Hydrogen Summit organized by the United Arab Emirates state company “Masdar” in Abu Dhabi, and panel discussions on Financing Opportunities of Water Resources Development, Solar, Clean Energy and Green Energy.
Within the framework of the event, the head of the Fund Mr. Jaba Khmaladze held a working meeting with the director of the United Arab Emirates state Company “Masdar” Mr. Mohammed Jamel al Ramah, where the parties discussed the current status of the joint project "New Samgori Solar Power Plant" of JSC "Georgian Energy Development Fund" and “Masdar” and planned future steps. In addition, a partnership agreement was signed between the Fund, “Masdar”, and the incorporated joint venture.
Prime minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson was keynote speaker with Ministerial speakers from other Countries, An exhibition was held within the frameworks of the "World Future Energy Summit" where over 400 world leading energy companies participated. The event was attended by more than 30,000 visitors.
It should be noted that JSC "Georgian Energy Development Fund" together with the Company “Masdar” is implementing the construction of the solar power plant with 95MW installed capacity . The implementation of this project will reduce dependence on imports and diversify local sources of electricity supply, as well as contribute to the achievement of renewable energy and climate change goals and the fulfillment of the obligations under the Association Agreement. Jobs will be created both at the construction stage and during the operation of the project.
