On December 29,2016 a share purchase agreement was signed between JSC ,,Georgian Energy Development Fund’’ and JSC ,,Dariali Energy’’, according to which the fund sold all of shares owned by it. (which constituted 22.56% of capacity).The total investment amount of the project is 123 million USD. Among the projects financed by the EBRD worldwide, the Dariali HPP is the first carbon-neutrat HPP. The construction of the hydroelectric power plant, were employed 420 people. After entering into commissioning 70 people have been employed. Most of them are local residents. Currently, The HPP has been working at full capacity.
