Giorgi Katamadze

Work experience

Giorgi katamadze has been working as the Head of Project Management Department since 01 August 2024.   In parallel, from 19 October 2018, he Has been serving  as  the Director of “Borjomi HPP LLC” since 19 October 2018 and the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of “Biomass Energy LLC” since August, 2021 

Prior to taking these positions, he held the position of Project Manager at JSC “Georgian Energy Development Fund” since 2015. His work at JSC “Georgian Energy Development Fund” is related to the management of the project of combined cycle gas-fired thermal power plant with 500 MW installed capacity  

From 2016 to October 2018, Giorgi Katamadze worked as a quality management specialist at the Company "Kartli Wind Power Plant LLC”   where he supervised the construction process, ensured high quality implementation of the project in accordance with existing priorities.

 Prior to joining the Fund, Giorgi Katamadze   gained four years of experience in various senior positions in the private sector.

Prior to working at the foundation, Giorgi Katamadze has accumulated 4-year working experience on various managerial positions in the private sector.

 

Education

Giorgi has a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of business engineering of Georgian Technical University. Currently he is a student of Master of Science Program (MSc) of Caucasus University.  He speaks English and Russian.
